The Story
A young person prayed for a perfect match. Yue Lao appeared with a red thread and asked, “What will you tie with this?”
“Love,” the seeker answered.
Yue Lao shook his head. “First tie honesty to speech, patience to anger, and responsibility to desire. A red thread cannot carry what character refuses to hold.”
